Teaser Tuesday: Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

 •Grab your current read
 •Open to a random page
•Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
•BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
•Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This weeks' teaser comes from Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder (Hannah Swenson #1) by Joanne Fluke:

Hannah wanted to tell him that she didn’t need a shrink. Even if she did, a Jordan High counselor who dealt with the heartbreak of acne and dateless Saturday nights wouldn’t be the shrink she’d choose. But then she reminded herself that she’d vowed to be tactful, and she took a deep breath, preparing to lie through her teeth. (p. 42)

This has been a cute read so far.  I've not read many "cozy mysteries" and I wouldn't put this on par with Agatha Christie or anything, but it's a fun read with a nice mix of realism and humor.  Plus, it comes with some good recipes! :)

    1. Hi, Elizabeth! So nice to have you here...thanks for the follow! :) Yeah, I'm a blue kind of girl...always liked the color and it's varying shades. I'll definitely stop by your TT and check it out.
