Vivication's Kindle Scout Campaign is Live!!!

Good morning and Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

I wanted to let everyone know that I've submitted Vivication (Annals of Ellie #1) to the Kindle Scout program and the campaign has officially gone live!  The way Kindle Scout works is that readers like you awesome peeps get to NOMINATE books that you think would be great for publication.  If the book receives enough nominations, it will be seriously considered for contract with Kindle Press.

So, help an author out here... please take a moment to visit the campaign's page and check out Vivication.  If you think it's worthy enough, click the Nominate button and you're done.  If the book is published through Kindle Press, then each person who nominated it will receive a free e-copy of the book!  Awesome, right?

Please let all your friends and family know... spread the word and let's see if we can make this happen!

Reading, Writing, and Back Problems... Oh My!

Good day to you lovely readers!  As you can see, I've already managed to slip into near non-existence on this site only because I've been busy with edits and beginning new writing projects.  Oh, and I've managed to pinch a nerve in my back that has actually prevented me from being able to be at the computer as much as I normally am.  Sigh... getting old is not fun sometimes! lol

So, first, an update on Vivication (Annals of Ellie #1).  The manuscript is completely edited and ready for publication.  However, I'm going into a bit of an unusual route with regards to publishing this latest work.  I've decided to check out the Kindle Scout program and see if I have what it takes to be selected.  Since I'm still in the process of coming up with a synopsis, I've not yet uploaded this manuscript to Kindle Scout for consideration.  But as soon as I do, I'll be back on here with a link and a pleading request that each of you go check out the link and put in your nomination for the novel to be chosen for publication through Kindle Scout.  More on that in the coming days.

Second, I've begun the manuscript for Book 4 in the Galactic Dynasty series which I co-author with my Muse and husband, E. M. Lohr.  The first chapter is complete and it's already taking on an intense feel that I'm really liking.  Death, intrigue, and aliens abound... yeah, it's going to be a wild ride and we're eager to get the manuscript written so we can bring this latest installment to our fans!  I'll be posting a progress bar on this site so you can keep up with how we're coming along and I'll also drop the occasional updates as more is written.

As for the pinched nerve... yeah, I've not been a happy camper these past couple of months.  This happened in early January and I've been fighting with it ever since.  I've been on drugs (the prescribed kind ;)), I've done physical therapy, and still having issues.  So my next step is a neurosurgeon... hopefully I'll be seeing one in the near future so I can find out what to do now to get this nerve to calm down already.  I'm hoping it won't lead to surgery, but one step at a time.  Anyway, because of this, I've been limited to how long I can sit in front of a computer.  And in fact, I've literally had to move my office to a new location in the house to help with posture and whatnot.  Long story!

Anywho... that is what's happening in this author's life right now.  I hope everyone's having a great new year and reading lots of awesome books.  I've been in a James Patterson and Sue Grafton kick lately, plowing through the Alex Cross, Women's Murder Club, and Kinsey Millhone series like a madwoman!  Fortunately there are a ton of books in each of those series, so it's going to take me quite a while to read them all.  And that makes me happy!

What books are you reading?  Have you read any of the books I mentioned?  Feel free to comment away below... I love hearing from you guys!
